LP Quinn Elementary

On Friday, June 9, 2023, LP Quinn Elementary will be hosting a Field Day for all students. Rain date is scheduled for June 15, 2023. Students are asked to bring their own water bottles filled prior to the events, wear sneakers and athletic clothing-including a shirt the color of their designated team, and come prepared with other needs such as sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, etc.  There will be a variety of events for students to participate in which they will sign-up for in their homeroom.  We are looking forward to this active and fun-filled event bringing a close to our school year!

The day will include events that students will compete in during a scheduled time, carnival style activities, and a school-wide lunch. For the competitive events there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners that will earn points for their designated team. The carnival style events will be for classes to participate in for fun and enjoyment. Students in each grade level will choose 2-3 events they would like to participate in. All events and activities throughout the day are listed below. 

PK-2 Competitive Events: Egg and spoon race, 50m dash, penguin race, water relay

3-5 Competitive Events: Frisbee throw, wheelbarrow race, 100m dash, long toss

Carnival Events: Music station, art station, sensory walk, popcorn station, obstacle course, Tug-of-War, 3- legged race, sack races, splash the teacher, backyard games, and kickball (Grades 4-5 only)

Students in will be split into 6 teams. Each team will have members from each grade level and will be assigned a team color. Members are asked to wear a shirt with their team color on it for the day. Participants will earn points for their team throughout the day by placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their scheduled events. The team with the most points at the completion of all events will win a coupon for a free ice cream! 

We look forward to this fun-filled day! Students are to have fun, compete, and display positive sportsmanship at all times.

Grade 5 and Pre-K: 8:40-9:20am

Grade 4: 9:25-10:05am

Grade 3: 10:10-10:50am

Grade 2: 11:40am-12:20pm

Grade 1: 12:25-1:05pm

Kindergarten: 1:10-1:50pm

Classes may finish their events earlier than the scheduled end time.
