Tardies: Once a student is tardy, SchoolTool keeps track of how many they have. Automatic letters and emails are sent to remind parents of how many tardies their child(-ren) have.
Absences: School attendance is the most important predictor for your child's success. Please have them to school each day and ready to learn. Automatic letters and emails are sent to remind parents of how many absences their child(-ren) have.
PARENT DROP-OFF AND PICK UP
Please use the parent pick up/drop off lane in the front of the building. This allows us to have proper security and supervision for students arriving and departing school.
*If you are a picking up a child from school please buzz at the door and office staff will send out your child.*
IN THE EVENT OF SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS OR EARLY RELEASES
In the case of inclement weather, or other reasons, parents will be contacted by the Edlio messenger program. Please make sure we have your current contact information updated in our office.
Announcements of school delays, closings, or early dismissals will be immediately broadcast on our district webpage https://www.tupperlakecsd.net/ and over local radio and television stations.
MESSAGES TO STUDENTS
Cell phones should be kept out of sight in your child's locker. It is important that if you have a message for your child it is sent early in the day so that they are able to see it when they have a chance between periods.
Messages left with the office will be shared and are another good option for contacting your child.
VISITORS
There are limited visitors allowed in the building during the school day. Parents and Guardians are allowed to see staff members if they have an appointment. Please check in at the front office.
PARENT & TEACHER MEETINGS
Parent-teacher conferences are set up during the school year on the school calendar, but we encourage parents to meet with teachers at other times as well. If any parent wants to see a teacher during the school day, it must be done by appointment. An appointment can be made through the teacher or by phoning the school office.
HOW IS MY CHILD DOING
SchoolTool and Google classroom are updated on a regular basis by teachers.
We also share academic progress reports with parents/guardians at the middle (every 5 weeks) and end of each quarter (10 weeks). At the end of the first quarter in November, the report card is shared during a Parent-Teacher Conference.
STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHS AND WORK
Photographs/videotapes of students and/or student work may be used occasionally in district and community publications.
If you object to your child’s photograph or work being used in these publications, you must do so in writing to the Building Principal.
End of Universal Free Breakfast and Lunch School Lunch Prices
For the past two years, school districts have been given the option by the USDA to provide free meals to all students regardless of income. Recently, the US Congress decided to not extend this option.
This year’s meal price:
Full Price Lunch - $2.70
Full Price of Breakfast - $1.50
Free and reduced meals will be provided to only those families who qualify through income verification.
Free and reduced income applications have been mailed to each of our families in August. Parents are to complete and return this application as soon as possible to determine eligibility.
This application can also help us with other things so it is a great item to complete and send in!! See below for the application and a frequently asked question document.
