From Mr. Brown
The week is already off to an eventful and ever changing start. The Modified and Varsity Soccer games slated for today have been postponed until tomorrow due to thunder and excessive rain. So for those of you headed up to Colton to watch them play, you can take the night off.
Still happening tonight!
Girls Modified Volleyball will be at Brushton. Due to a minor delay in busing, this game will begin at 5:15 instead of 5:00. Varsity will follow and look to bring home their first win of the year against the pesky Panthers. Go get 'em girls!
Tomorrow:
Our Cross Country team will head to OFA for their second meet of the year. Our runners look to best their times and prepare for sectionals. Although sectionals are weeks away, our team is always looking forward to the big meet! The meet starts at 4:30 and takes place at the Ogdensburg Port Authority.
Varsity and Modified Soccer will travel to their closest away game of the year to take on the Colton Colts. Hopefully we can keep those stallions calm and bring home a matching pair of victories.
On Wednesday, we host the Eagles of Clifton Fine in a pair of volleyball contests as our JV and Varsity teams begin competition at 5:00. Come early, grab a seat and watch an exciting night of volleyball!
On Thursday, we have three out of town contests. First, the Mod Football squad heads to Salmon River to take on the Shamrocks for the first time ever in modified football! The Shamrocks are starting a football program this year and Thursday, we plan to show them how it's done.
Also on Thursday, our soccer teams travel to Parishville Hopkinton to take on the other Panthers of Section X. Parishville Hopkinton always comes to play and we plan to stop them in their tracks!
Friday is the Homecoming Football game. Kick off is at 7:00, but come to the tailgate before. Starting at 5:00 we will have food, music, games and fun down in the lower LPQ parking lot!
Lastly, Saturday is the big dance. The Homecoming Dance for grades 6, 7 and 8 is from 5:00 to 7:00. Then, from 8:00 - 11:00 is the High School Homecoming Dance. Encourage all our Middle/High School students to go. They can come and listen to the mixings of DJ J. Dukette. He's fresh out of the custodian's closet and looking to please the masses.
Thanks for reading everyone, and as always, thanks for being an athletic supporter.
