Superintendent’s Message

Jaycee Welsh Superintendent of Tupper Lake Central School District

Happy New Year! As we turn the page to 2026, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we have shared since I joined this wonderful district last year. Being a part of the “Lumberjack” family has been an honor, and I am more committed than ever to our shared mission of planting the seeds of knowledge and growing the leaders of tomorrow.

The start of a new year is a natural time for reflection and renewal. This past fall, we took significant steps toward securing the future of our community assets, specifically through the impact study of the Tupper Lake Civic Center. Our goal remains clear: to find the right partnerships that will allow the Civic Center to thrive as a premier recreational and community hub for all our residents.

In the coming months, we will also begin the vital work of the 2026-2027 budget process. Our priority continues to be a “triangle” of success: maintaining fiscal responsibility, providing quality instructional and extracurricular opportunities, and fostering strong community relations—always with the student at the center.

We have many exciting events to look forward to this winter.  I encourage you to stay connected with us through the ParentSquare app and our district website for the latest updates on school safety, events, and student achievements.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for the warm welcome you have extended to me. Together, we are building a bright and successful future for every child in Tupper Lake.

Wishing you all a healthy, happy, and productive 2026.
