Franklin County has changed the way they're handling releases from quarantines and isolations to a more "self-serve" process. This video explains how that works and where you can find the information necessary.

so with a new set of regulations coming from Franklin County department Health in the CDC a lot of what's Happening as far as quarantines and isolation is self-reporting so here is how you do that in Franklin County New York so we start here by going to Franklin County New York. Gov you get to the page with a waterfall covid-19 updates and no notice of you ever been to this page of these two blue buttons are now if you have taken a home test and tested positive this is the self test reporting form there it goes through as questions by filling your name your address phone number some other questions about the kind of test why you took the test etc etc then you submit and now your test has been recorded in Franklin County you are no longer going to hear from Franklin County in terms of isolation and quarantine isolation quarantines are all handled here on this side this blue button when you isolate and quarantine page the guidelines from the CDC are here I'll just take you quickly to those isolation quarantine in this blue boxes which are looking for the latest recommendations that explains the difference between quarantine and isolation it talks about what's exposure and what's the close contacts of interest to a lot of people here will be learn more about close contact including exceptions to the definition for K-12 schools which has to do is into student contact in the students wearing masks who doesn't need to quarantine who does what you should do for quarantine what you do after and then isolation if you have a positive test what to do when the end isolation so all that information is there and the documents that you would need if you have a positive test and or know of a positive contact this is now all self-reported and if that's the case you go to this first document which is a form that you fill out that says that you either have a positive test or work exposed sign that you actually met the criteria and that will be the same thing as a doctor's note that had the positive test previously at the end of either on isolation from a positive positive contact or nope sorry at the end of isolation cuz of a positive test or quarantine because of contact with a known positive these are the two documents that you'll need the isolation release says complete if you or your child is tested positive for covid-19 and have been isolation I hereby affirm Yeti tested positive for covid-19 remain isolated from other people for 5 days from the onset or from the day that positive test if there were no symptoms day 1 of isolation begins a day off why are my child became symptomatic or the day after I tested positive this is the information that you fill out sign that all of what you're saying is true and that's what you will provide instead of a doctor's note that had a medical release on it before I formation of quarantine releases here complete this if you or your child has been identified as a close contact was not fully vaccinated have been in quarantine hear you refer I was a close contacts was not fully vaccinated at the time quarantine for 5 days following the last day of exposure they want to quarantine Begins the day after name again I get firm that I meet the criteria for discharge Florentine your signature there and that goes back to the nurse when you or your student comes back to school I hope that helps if you have any questions by all means I'll drop an email I'll talk to you soon bye
