COVID-19 Response Funding

As a condition of receiving federal ESSER and GEER funding under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) and Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Acts, and federal ESSER funding under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, school districts assured that they would comply with all required reporting requirements to ensure accountability and transparency in the use of these funds.

Welcome to Tupper Lake Central School District's COVID-19 Updates Page. We are continually planning as guidance changes to keep our buildings open. You can always find the most recent information and guidance on this page.

Housing

The COVID-19 pandemic and the disruptions that have arisen with it has exacerbated needs related to housing. Families experiencing homelessness can receive support through the McKinney-Vento Act. Please email Kristin Skiff, TLCSD McKinney-Vento Liason. For more information, visit Mrs. Skiff's website.

Childcare

The COVID-19 crisis and closing of school has caused many disruptions for our families, particularly related to finding adequate childcare. The Tupper Lake Central School district is currently working with the FEH BOCES to assist families of essential health care workers and first responders to find open childcare placements with local county and current licensed daycare providers. Essential health care workers may include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, LPNs, nurse assistants, or lab personnel. First responders may include paramedics, EMTs, police officers, and firefighters. If you are an essential health care worker or first responder and need assistance with childcare, please call 518-483-6420 option 9, or send an email to [email protected]
