Qualifications/Requirements: The successful applicant is expected to hold
a current New York State Education Department Teaching Assistant Certificate.
Responsibilities:
Provide
individual or small group instruction to student(s) in an 8:1+1 special
education classroom at TLMHS. This
assistant will attend general education classes and provide review and
re-teaching of material as needed. Teaching
assistant will receive Crisis Prevention Training and will assist in
implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans.
This assistance will be under the supervision of a certified teacher.
Salary: This is a full-time position of 7.5 hours per day
and carries the benefit package as outlined in the Teacher Contract of
Agreement. The beginning level in 2006-07 will be $14,500 per year.
